Description

BLED is a wonderful midget oil painting 7"x5", chuck full delightful details. Slovenia has only one island but its uniqueness makes it more attractive than many an archipelago. Ms. Simon painted this little cutie for a dear friend that had made many dear memories the summer she was 16 years old, sheltered by picturesque mountains, the island reigns in the middle of an Alpine lake. The town lies within the Julian Alps and alongside Lake Bled, and is a popular tourist destination. Its beauty and charm has made it a symbol for centuries, a town to which guests from all over the world love to return to.
