Description
At five years old Linda Simon's pesky little sister Heidi had not yet been born. She had her own princess room all to her self. At this time Linda was often called by her nick name Lu Lu, because she always sported pony tails like the Lu Lu in the comics in Saturdays paper. Lu Lu does not have too many memories at that tender young age but a few. She remembers her room was her favorite color, cotton candy pink, and had a lavish white draping valance over the bed, just like the "Princess & the Pea"! She was so little she had to get a running start to jump up and make it onto that huge brass bed with the ruffles down the sides. Lu Lu loved taking her nap every day. She would run up the stairs to her room and lay on the bed waiting for magic to come and make her sleepy. Next to her bed on the the wall hung two fancy framed pictures of what she thought were the most wonderful ballerinas on earth. The ballerinas would always help her relax and fall a sleep. Later on in life Ms. Simon would find out her mother had purchased the pictures at K-Mart for a whopping dollar fifty each. Those ballerina's were priceless to her, you see upon looking at them while drifting off, she would dream she was in the Nut Cracker play as a dancing ballerina!
